TRANSPORT

From Changi Airport to NTU:

  • OPTION 1: Take a taxi (safe and efficient) but it costs around S$40 - S$50 from the airport to NTU.
  • OPTION 2: Take the MRT then Bus
    • Take the East-West Line from Changi Airport. Just follow the signs to the MRT. The airport is at the end of the line, so you may take any train, which always stop at Tanah Merah, 2-stations away.
    • Get-off at Tanah Merah Station and transfer to the train going to Joo Koon (still East-West Line). Get off to the left platform.
    • Continue your journey and get-off at Pioneer Station, turn left as you exit the MRT ticket gates.

Exit of Pionner MRT Station. Turn left and go downstairs to 179 bus stop.
    • Take Bus 179 a few steps aways from the food court as you get down the stairs. Finally, get-off at Lee Wee Nam Libary.

    • Alternatively, turn right as you exit the MRT ticket gates down the overhead bridge to take the free NTU-Pioneer MRT shuttle  bus at the bus-stop outside Block 649A, Jurong West Street 63. Get-off at the Administration Building. This shuttle bus operates daily from 7.30am to 10.30pm.
    • You may also get-off at  Boon Lay Station instead of Pioneer. Then take Bus 199 or Bus 179. Get off at Opposite Lee Wee Nam Library (Bus 199) or Lee Wee Nam Library (Bus 179).

Red: 199 bus route
Purple: 179 bus route
Green: Car or Shuttle bus route

Transportation from Park Avenue Rochester

Bus transportation will be provided between the Park Avenue Rochester Hotel and NTU (conference venue) on the morning of October 2, 3, and 4.

Going Around Singapore using Public Transportation

  • Taxi - convenient
  • MRT - cheap and convenient
  • Bus - cheapest but slowest as well. However, some areas in Singapore are only accessible by taxi or bus.
