The 10th Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology

25-28 November, 2022, Online

Call for Workshops

The Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT) is a premier level biennial series of symposia that aim at providing a forum for researchers and practitioners who are being involved, or are contributing to theoretical advances or practical implementations in image and video technology. The ninth Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology (PSIVT 2022) will be held Online from 25th to 28th November, 2022.

The conference venue will be located near the tourist spot of Sydney city, the largest city of Australia. Sydney has direct flights from almost all major cities in the world.

The PSIVT 2022 organizing committee invites proposals for workshops to be held at the PSIVT conference. The topics of the proposed workshops should be aligned with those set forth in the call for papers of the main conference. PSIVT workshops provide a venue for exploring and discussing emerging research directions and applications of image and video technology, in both of theoretical advances or practical implementations.

The format and content of each workshop will be determined by its organizers. However, preference will be given to workshops whose format includes sessions that facilitate highly interactive discussions with the audience. Recent PSIVT workshops included:

  1. Imaging and Graphics Hardware and Visualization
  2. Image/Video Coding and Transmission
  3. Image/Video Processing and Analysis
  4. Image/Video Retrieval and Scene Understanding
  5. Applications of Image and Video Technology
  6. Biomedical Image Processing and Analysis
  7. Biometrics and Image Forensics
  8. Computational Photography and Arts
  9. Computer and Robot Vision
  10. Pattern Recognition
  11. Video Surveillance
  1. 3D Point Cloud Processing
  2. Adversarial Images and Anti-Attacking
  3. Artificial Intelligence in image and video processing
  4. AI based image/video processing for dynamic scene understanding
  5. AI based image/video processing for autonomous vehicles
  6. Others

We will continue to hold workshops at PSIVT 2022, and workshops will be held during the main PSIVT conference. We welcome workshop proposals in new and emerging research areas of image and video technology. The proposal should include the following information:

  • Workshop title
  • List of organizers including affiliation and email address
  • Workshop motivation
  • Estimated participation (industry/academia)
  • Anticipated number of talks/posters and length of workshop (half-day or full-day)
  • Paper submission procedure
  • Paper review procedure (double-blind, solicited/invited-only, pool of reviewers)
  • Paper submission and acceptance deadlines (camera-ready and early registration deadlines for a workshop/contest must coincide with the corresponding deadlines of PSIVT 2022     (see Important Dates on Call for Papers)
  • Special space and equipment requests, if any.
  • We are looking forward to receiving your proposals!
