Dear CIS-RAM Delegates,

We thank you for your patience in waiting for our announcement for the newly scheduled 2008 CIS-RAM conference dates.

Since the major earthquake in May, we have been closely monitoring the situation of our conference venue - Chengdu. We have ascertained that Chengdu is safe and stabilized. After careful assessment of all the relevant issues (e.g. the Olympic Games in China in August 2008), the Organizing Committee has decided to schedule the 2008 IEEE CIS-RAM conference to September 21 to 24, 2008 at the same venue - Sheraton Chengdu Lido Hotel. The welcome reception will be held in the early evening of September 21, 2008.

We strongly believe that the 2008 IEEE CIS-RAM, with all our delegates' attendance, will be a fruitful, successful and memorable conference. On behalf of the organizing committee, we thank you in advance for your continuous support.

We are looking forward to meeting you all in Chengdu soon.

CIS-RAM 2008 have received overwhelming responses to our Call for Papers and we have received over 950 submissions from 36 countries. The review of all these papers thus took a longer time than what we had scheduled. We should be able to email you the notifications by March 15, 2008.

The deadline for paper submission is extended to January 27, 2008.
We are pleased to introduce our plenary speakers (Jan. 2008).
